Description
A first tier supplier invited us to work with them on the development of a small fret (hard wired electrical circuit) that can be overmoulded with a micro switch attached.
This is a very complex process and would usually involve four different suppliers. We liaised with their design engineer and, using our extensive technical knowledge, made proposals in material selection, form design and crimping techniques for attaching the micro switch.
After three iterations, we successfully eliminated two suppliers in the supply chain, providing greater control, reduced costs and security of supply.
Ace Forming now provide a fully assembled etched fret with a crimped micro switch ready for overmoulding.
